Coaching Disclaimer
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
The Center for Potential Maximization (“CPM”) provides Transformational Coaching designed to support personal development, self-awareness, reflection, decision-making, and meaningful action.
We believe meaningful growth can involve exploring your experiences, emotions, beliefs, relationships, patterns, aspirations, and possibilities. At the same time, it is important to understand what coaching is—and what it is not.
1. Coaching Is Not Therapy
Transformational Coaching provided through CPM is a coaching and personal-development service. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or another form of healthcare.
Although coaching conversations may explore personal experiences, emotions, beliefs, behaviors, relationships, or patterns, coaching does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.
Working with CPM does not create a therapist-client, psychologist-patient, physician-patient, or other healthcare-provider relationship.
2. Coaching Does Not Replace Professional Healthcare
Coaching should not be used as a substitute for services from a licensed mental-health professional, physician, or other qualified healthcare provider when those services are needed.
If you are currently receiving medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other healthcare treatment, you should not discontinue or modify that treatment based on information or conversations arising from coaching without consulting the appropriate healthcare professional.
If, during the course of coaching, it appears that your needs may fall outside the appropriate scope of coaching, CPM may recommend that you seek support from an appropriately qualified professional.
3. Coaching Is a Collaborative Process
Coaching is collaborative.
Your coach may offer questions, observations, frameworks, perspectives, exercises, challenges, and opportunities for reflection. These are intended to help you deepen your understanding, explore possibilities, clarify what matters, and determine how you want to move forward.
Your coach does not make decisions for you.
You remain responsible for evaluating what is appropriate for your circumstances and for the choices, decisions, actions, and changes you make during or following coaching.
4. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Every person's circumstances and coaching experience are different.
CPM does not guarantee that coaching will produce a particular personal, professional, relationship, financial, health, or other outcome.
Examples, stories, testimonials, or descriptions of experiences shared on this website or in CPM materials are illustrative and should not be understood as promises that another person will achieve the same results.
5. Coaching and Confidentiality
CPM treats the personal nature of coaching conversations seriously and aims to create an environment in which clients can speak openly and thoughtfully.
The specific confidentiality expectations and any applicable limitations relating to your coaching relationship will be explained in the client agreement or other documentation provided when you begin coaching.
Please remember that information submitted through ordinary email, website forms, scheduling platforms, or other electronic services may carry different privacy and security considerations from information discussed within a coaching session.
For information about how CPM handles information collected through this website, please review our Privacy Policy.
6. Emergencies and Crisis Support
CPM is not an emergency, crisis-response, or mental-health crisis service.
The website, email, booking system, and coaching services should not be used to seek emergency assistance.
If you believe that you or another person is in immediate danger, are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, or require urgent assistance, contact 911 in the United States or the appropriate emergency service in your location.
If you are in the United States and experiencing a mental-health, suicide, or substance-use crisis, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
7. Information and Resources
Articles, videos, exercises, workshops, newsletters, downloads, social-media content, and other resources provided by CPM are intended for general educational and personal-development purposes.
They do not constitute individualized medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other regulated professional advice.
Your use of these materials does not, by itself, establish a coaching or other professional relationship with CPM.
8. Your Responsibility
By choosing to participate in coaching, you acknowledge that personal development may involve reflection on challenging subjects and that you remain responsible for determining what actions are appropriate for you.
You are encouraged to ask questions, communicate your needs and boundaries, and seek additional professional support when appropriate.
9. Questions About the Scope of Coaching
If you are uncertain whether Transformational Coaching is appropriate for your needs, please contact CPM before booking.
